Event First Aid And Fire Services (EFAAFS) began providing first aid and fire services to Western and South Western Victoria after a large local festival had their first-aid provider pull out at the last minute. The festival organisers approached a local group of emergency service workers to see if they could step in to provide coverage for the event. Following some discussions, it was agreed to cover the event with a fully equipped first-aid gazebo that would meet the needs of the festival and its organisers. Medical equipment was initially hired from a medical supplier to ensure appropriate resources were available to the public. Fire coverage was also required for the event permit and a fire truck was also provided with a qualified crew to operate it. The feedback was so positive regarding the level of service delivery compared to previous festivals, that EFAAFS was formally established as a business to service the South Western and Western Regions of Victoria.

Over the next 12 months, a 2000 litre Fire Truck and an Ambulance were purchased, along with a large range of equipment. Over the next two years additional medical and firefighting equipment, along with additional vehicles were acquired as the diversity of booked events required a diversity of equipment.

In September of 2019, following an ongoing internal review of events attended, and desires of event organisers, EFAAFS finished building it’s custom designed 8.2m caravan as it’s new Mobile Medical Centre. Equipped with a large range of first-aid and resuscitation equipment, it provides electronic patient monitors for up to 4 patients, as well as a two stretcher resuscitation room. This was EFAAFS's final vehicle purchase to ensure a professional level of service could be provided to event organisers.
In addition to Event First-Aid and Event Fire coverage, EFAAFS also received numerous requests from companies undertaking specialised work-site activities that required temporary on-site standby fire and rescue services. EFAAFS has been able to offer these services throughout the State of Victoria. And with the addition of our Mobile Medical Centre, EFAAFS is now able to offer workplace first-aid facilities with fire & rescue standby services.
